yes, this is how it's supposed to look. I hate web development.

Old or cancelled projects or just random bits & bobs I thought I'd preserve and show here. These probably are very unpolished or a bit poorly designed, but they're still neat and people might care so why not put them up.
Some of these are locked behind passwords, if they are, the password will be shown next to the project.

Shattered Realms

An (in retrospect kinda bad) attempt at a "classic" incremental game. This was my first non-test project on godot and it very much shows. It used to be open source but the repo somehow got deleted and I forgot where the code is. I still love a lot of the ideas that I had for it (I love coming up with incremental game mechanics xp), but looking back, they were executed pretty poorly and I wasn't able to properly get to the mechanics I actually wanted to highlight.
I learned a TON from it tho and (as of december 2025) I do want to remake this since I still have the old design doc I wrote like 2 and a half years ago. I've actually started working on that, but my focus is on paintread atm.

Unicorn Beater Alternate

A lil bit of storytime: In late 2022 I met someone online over hayday of all fucking things which I was playing at the time. They were pretty cool and it turned out that they were actually developing games for fun. Among these was their game "Unicorn Beater" which was an incremental in kind of the style of Clicker Heroes and I really liked it and we talked about it for a while. At some point I decided to kinda make my own take on the concept with some changes and additions over the course of like 2 months in school and ended up putting it on my itch as my first game ever and I still look back on that fondly. It's very simple and does have a few flaws, but it's what basically got me into gamedev in the first place and I'll always remember it for that.
I doubt that you are, but I wish you the best if you're reading this Yarno. I'd love to chat sometime again in case you want to.

This was actually made in unity, and I by far no longer have the source code, but it taught me a lot about data structures and even save files. The code wasn't the best, but thats just how it is.
